CareersJob Title: Client Manager Job Description: We are currently recruiting for a Client Manager (ideally ACCA qualified or equivalent) to manage a portfolio of small and medium-sized business clients. This is a varied and interesting role in which the post-holder will have a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills whilst working for an expanding organisation. The main responsibilities comprise of managing (including budgeting and billing) and developing a portfolio of clients and attending a small number of prospect meetings. In addition, the Client Manager may also be required to attend business shows, engage in other business development activities to attract new clients and liaising with other Department Managers to ensure that all client’ work is completed correctly and efficiently. More specifically, the post-holder will be required to undertake the following duties:
Person Specification: With an extensive background in accountancy practice, the post-holder will be expected to be a self-starter, an excellent communicator, with exceptional interpersonal skills, have a good understanding of how to manage clients (new and existing) and be able to implement and consistently improve on best practice within the firm. The ability to put clients at ease and influence people will be a great advantage. The company is looking to recruit someone with drive and passion to make the most of this role. Duties will include:
Person Specification: The post-holder will be required liaise directly with clients, so excellent client-facing skills and a good telephone manner is necessary. You will also need to be a highly organised, dedicated and able to work with minimal supervision. Previous practice taxation experience is also required, preferably with a relevant qualification such as ATT. You will also be required to have excellent written skills, with previous experience of professional letter writing. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an intermediate Level is desirable. Experience of use of software packages such as: Iris, Thesaurus and TaxCalc are advantageous, as well as experience in any other areas of accountancy.
